Photography Tour Itinerary Russia

23rd September 2016

DAY 1 - 23 September 2016: Arrive Moscow where you will be met and transferred to accommodation. This evening the group meets together for an initial group meal at a Russian cuisine restaurant. D

DAY 2: 10:00 am. Today you will be met by our guide and taken on a 6 hour introductory walking tour of the central sights of Moscow including Red Square, The Kremlin, GUM department store, St Basils and other architectural and historical features. B

DAY 3: Today will feature a sightseeing tour by bus where stops will be made for photography. Moscow State University building, Sparrow Hills, Novo-Devichy Cemetery and Gorky park to name a few. In the evening revisit the Red Square zone to view and photograph the night time illuminations. Travel for this will be by metro visiting some of the more spectacular stations. B

DAY 4: Free day for personal sightseeing. B

DAY 5: Moscow to Yaroslavl Early morning departure from Moscow for Sergiev Posad by private vehicle. Guided tour. Drive to Rostov-Veliky (60 km) where you will be given a guided orientation tour. Overnight Rostov Veliky. B+D

DAY 6: Morning free for further exploration/photography of this beautiful compact town. After lunch onto Yaroslavl (60km). Overnight Yaroslavl. B+D

DAY 7: Yaroslavl to Suzdal After breakfast you will be given a three hour orientation tour before departing for Suzdal (150 km). Upon arrival you will check into your accommodation. Overnight Suzdal. B

DAY 8: Suzdal Morning guided tour of Suzdal. Remainder of day in Suzdal for further exploration and photography. B

DAY 9: After lunch depart Suzdal for Vladimir. Short guided tour of main sights. Drive back to Moscow and catch an early evening fast train to St Petersburg. Arrive St Petersburg where you will be met and transferred to your accommodation. B

DAY10: Today a 3 hour introductory walking tour of central St Petersburg. This will conclude at the famous Hermitage Palace/Museum where yuo begin a guided tour. B

DAY11: This is the city of palaces and today you visit Catherine Palace and its magnificent parks. Stops for photography at special places on way to and back from the Palace. B

DAY12: Today is another very full day with a visit to the famed Summer Place and its fountains as well as Krondstadt the historical naval base. B+D

DAY13: Free day. B

DAY14 - 06 October 2016: Services end after breakfast. B

Flights: Prices for flights can vary according to when you look at them! At time of publication of this itinerary flight timetables for this period were not yet available. Also some people may wish to use frequent flyer points to obtain their flights.
