Hi Paul, Having a wonderful time!!! As you know we are staying at Helnan Hotel in Alexandria. Will be leaving for Jordan tomorrow. Mohamed and Gamal are really looking after us. The experience the group has shared will always remain in our memories. I think we are a really group and hope that we haven't given the boys too much grief. They are very good in keeping us under control yet allowing us enough freedom to do our own thing. Kind regards Eva........

Dear Paul
Let me say that the Egypt/Jordan trip was everything I expected and more. On occasions events beyond the control of Gamal and his guides upset the schedule but this was quickly and efficiently re-arranged such that I'm thinking the re-arranged schedule was better than that first offered. The failure of the Esna lock (Ed Note - mechanics of lock system failed) allowed us extra time in Esna to see aspects of local village life that we would not have otherwise been aware of.
Being 'snowed in' at Petra meant we missed one 'site' but how many people can claim to be 'snowed in' in Jordan at the same time Sydney was having temperatures over 40 deg C. There was a suggestion that the Sharm stay could have been shortened. I don't think so. We arrived late, had no sleep on the night we climbed Sinai and there was plenty to see and do. The time there was a necessity to re-charge before Jordan.
Hotel Accommodation: Of excellent quality although the last one in Cairo was large and impersonal - I dare say that is what most people want but the staff at other hotels were more human!
Length of stay: No complaint - see above Quality of tour guides: Good knowledge of what they were presenting. In Alexandria one of the party wanted to see some friends who lived locally. The opposition to this seemed a little over the top. Security seemed to be the driving force.
Transportation: There was a general disappointment with the train sleeper. It appears that I may have been the only person in the group to have used train sleepers in the past. The accommodation was similar to everywhere else in the world (I've used sleepers in Australia, US & Europe). Trains have a maximum width so cannot support staterooms. I would therefore suggest that your pre-journey information include that before travelling they should arrange to have all items needed during the trip in a small overnight bag to avoid having to access their main luggage.
The holiday was excellent, the organisation was excellent and I could not have enjoyed myself more. Nobody in the group was a 'problem' which was good for all concerned. I'd like to do Petra again under the same arrangements when they have completed their current additional digs. I have no problem in recommending you and Gamal to anyone wishing to see Egypt and Jordan.
Regards Ian Young

Hi Paul,
Thanks for your email Paul.
Our trip was absolutely fantastic. Better than anticipated.
The organisation was brilliant as were our guides; Gamal and Amro especially, also Musatafa and Muhammand. We learnt heaps and had a fantastic experience. There was a great balance of heaps to do and down time. Our group was great and we enjoyed one another's company.
Thanks heaps Paul,
Melinda and Peter.

Dear Paul,
Thanks for the email.
The trip was outstanding as far as I am concerned.
Gemal etc did a great job. I was well and did everything including snorkelling and Mt Sinai.
The group worked well as a group -everyone was supportive and great fun.
Jordan was terrific but a bit rushed,. The time element was tight and we would have liked to see more. The accomodation was excellent.
I have already recommended the trip to a number of my friends Cheers Linda
