Safari:

One of the highlights of this tour is the Safari from Nairobi to Northern Tanzania. For a few days, we experience Northern Tanzanian's natural environment, sleep outside where wild animals roam, meet tribal groups still keeping to their traditional life styles whilst in contact with the new Africa.

Then walk near 1 Million year old Humanoid foot prints and view Dr Leaky's world famous early man discovery site at Ol Duvai Gorge

On this portion of the tour you will be meeting animals you see in books and the zoo, but this time in their backyard.

Wildlife parks are maintained to a higer level these days compared to when the author of this text first experienced the outdoor life of Africa. With the large increase in tourist from the late 1990's stricter controls were introduced and they needed to be. All camping had to be at designated and maintained campsites - which have bush toilets and water supplies. Fees are high (included in cost), but it is evident that the money is used to protect these magnificent assets. There are a limited number of lodges, unlike some other African countries, so again good control will ensure a better natural environment.

Migration:

We are in the area when part of the famous Wilderbeast migration can take place. However, there can be no guarantee that the animlas will behave according to statistics. We have designed the programme (for the area where this could happen) to be flexible as to which camp ground we use (different areas of park). By using camps like this and not commiting to lodges we can easily change direction without financial loss. Also the camps bring you into even closer association with the wildlife!!!!

Accommodation:

We will use a combination of Safari Camp Lodges and Safari Camps.

Our first stay at Arusha is at Moivaro Lodge. we then move out on a fully catered safari using a combination of official park campsites. They could be Migunga, Seronera or Lobo camps and which one is used will depend on where the animlas are thought to be. At Ngorongoro we plan to stay at the Crater Forest Lodge.
